I totally agree with you Cherie. Smiley treats all of his members equally whether they are free or upgraded.

I belong to several large traffic exchanges and at some of them, if you are a free member your sites rarely get seen. They say you must upgrade to get better results. Well I'm not gonna do it. I feel like they are holding my credits for ransom.

At a few of the so-called "top" exchanges, no matter how many credits I have assigned to a url, I get less than 25 hits per day. I think I should quit using those exchanges and put my time and effort into the ones that deliver.

Classified Ad submitters/blaster:

When posting to say 1000 sites write several ads under as many section/sub sections do not just stick with say the biz section - be creative and and get your ad on say 10 pages. Now instead of 1000 ads you have 10,000 and you get viewers who were not looking for a biz but you funnelled them to your site.

Whatever marketing/ad venue you use - think DOMINATION....

You will notice many of these calling themselves "EXPERTS" too! lol!

Their Exchanges look EXACTLY the same, just different LARGE graphics in header!

People get Quickly Tired of same ole, same ole....just in a different domain name and picture wrapping.

Thus your 25 views delivered a day!

Another effective online marketing strategy is posting your link to classified adboards - especially classified ad boards that then link up to a network. Classified ads tend to stay on the boards longer than their cousins, ffa sites and message boards. Typically, a classified ad will run 30 to 60 days. Most classified ad venues have free listings, so this makes these internet advertising specialties especially useful to the average online marketer who has no, or very little, budget.

Classified ad listings are useful as a link marketing resource. They are not necessarily places where human eyes will see your ad. Whether a person ever sees your ad or not, the search engines do. Each listing counts as a one way link - which is helpful in your overall search engine ranking. The links are not as powerful as two-way links of course, aka reciprocal, but are still a useful way to establish your presence on the internet. With this in mind, some tips when you post your ad:

!. Use targeted key words. If you are posting an ad for an affiliate program or product, use those key words in your ad.

2. Always use your own site - a blog, splash page, squeeze page, what ever you want to call it. Posting affiliate links does you very little good for the most part as the search engines tend to discount them. There are execeptions to that rule, but is much easier to get good ranking from a blog or your own website that you host on your own domain. Take your affiliate link, write a short article, embed your link in the article, post it to a blog or put it on your own website - and then use that link in your classified ads.

3. More is better. When ever possible, use blasters and post to large networks. There are several ffa blasters which in fact also blast to classified ad sites.
